 In the series, Shadow receives a magic coin from the leprechaun Mad Sweeney. The coin has the power to animate a dead person to undead and keep them undead. Shadow's undead wife Laura wears the coin for most of the book.

This coin is make of alloy with gold tone and weight like a circulated coin. It measure 1 1/4" in diameter and around 2mm thick.
